 Yesterday 11 April 2023 Rt.Hon. Richard Todwong together with his team had a productive time with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the people of west Nile at the golf course grounds Arua during president's tour of the West Nile subregion, highlighting the NRM's success in wealth creation in the Sub-region. NRM government has empowered farmers, entrepreneurs,and youth with the tools and resources needed to thrive. The regime has also improved health care and enhanced road networks. The Secretary General said NRM government is committed to build a better West nile.

  Today 01st March 2023 opens the month that the first rainy season always sets. This is the period of time that you hear sounds of fixing hoes; tank tank tank tank, tank coming from all directions. There are those who survive on farming, but do not even wish to buy their own.  They keep borrowing hoes from others, the most important tool for gardening. This tells you how unserious some people are and how people look at agriculture. The young people are taken to schools and those who progress in education are modelled into to thinking that they are now only fit for office work.  Those that never go far with studies join others in practicing agriculture, the ancient, our ancestors way that doesn't yield much financially. Covid-19 exposed to the whole world that children are more prone to a number of sexually related dangers at home during holidays, than at schools since between the year 2020 and 2022 thousands and thousands young girls left schools due to early pregnancy. This can be interpreted that parents are not doing enough to guide and protect their children from these evils. According to Police Annual crime reports, over 12,000 cases of defilements and over 1,600 cases of rapes were reported in Uganda in 2022 alone, minus series of cases not reported to police. This is a serious dilemma since thousands of these victims are girls under the age of consent.
