The gimmick in Bardege-Layibi is not an honest bid for leadership but a double syndicate.

Bardege-Layibi became a constituency when Gulu municipality was elevated to a city status. In 2021 General Election, that constituency had the most powerful candidates in Acholi subregion. People who vied for the position of Member of Parliament Bardege-Layibi Constituency includes the last Gulu municipality member of Parliament, Hon. Lyandro Komakech, Counsel Tony Kitara, a renown lawyer and a proprietor of the Covenant bar and grill, Pastor Olal Roy and others. Hon. ojara Martin Mapenduzi who had exhibited peculiar and charismatic leadership ability during his time as speaker and Chairperson Gulu district emerged a winner in that tight race.  Upon his victory and eventual swearing in as the member of Parliament of the Constituency, he has made Gulu city and Bardege-Layibi Constituency in particular very tall, visible and loud. Because of his wisdom and abilities, the opposition entrusted Hon. Mapenduzi, a first timer in Parliament to head Local Government Public Accounts Committe...

GOOD HEALTH AND A PROSPEROUS 2024

As we count down hours to 2024, we vividly remember how difficult, the year 2023 was. We went through trials and temptations that indeed revealed our true colors. Many left us along the journey, and it's therefore very important to humble ourselves, worship and adore the name of the Lord for having stood with us during the difficult time. For friends and families who lost dear ones, remain very strong and look unto God for comfort and helps. If you truly seek him, he will manifest himself in your situation. Do not think that the new year coming will be better, no! All signs indicates that 2024 may be a hard year, but the only hope is that you can make yourself harder and be able to face it on. When the going gets tough, the toughest gets going, so do all it takes to be among the toughest! In the new year, stop fake life and live within your means. You don't need to over drink. Don't live to please others, but rather learn to love yourself first. For my dear sisters, let the...

The postulation of My Lord Alfonse Owiny-dollo on the paradoxical Executive Order.

Image
On 19th May 2023 president of the Republic of Uganda, Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni issued Executive Order 03 2023 of which among others expels Balalo living in Northern Uganda illegally. Before the order comes to play, the president was propelled to extend its enforcement by three months, when his brother Gen. Caleb akandwanaho, Chief of Operation Wealth Creation wrote to him, advising that these Balalo herdsmen should be verified before expelling them, since a good number of them acquired land legally. After the first extension, the president again pushed the implementation of such on grounds that he is still reading the reports of the varification, reaching the local community living with these herdsmen, which later took place in Okidi. In one of the last meetings that Acholi leaders had with president Museveni on the same, Hon. Justice Alfonse Owiny-dollo Chigamoi led a team of Acholi leaders with representatives of political, Cultural, opinion leaders and others. Hon. Justice Alfons...

ACHOLI ARE NOT SELLING THEIR LAND WILLINGLY

Image
Aholi people do not hate other indigenous groups, because it's in record that Acholi took care of a lot of people who are not from Acholi Community, talk about Late Abiriga, Gen.Moses, Ali, President Museveni, Gen. Salim Sale and others. These leaders would not be alive if not because of the sacrifices made by our children.  What we are detesting is, the smart move of NRM government to settle Banyarwanda in Northern Uganda particularly Acholi subregion. It is childish to say people are selling their land willingly, yet people are being propelled by the destitution they are languishing in.  Even fools are well aware that Acholi used to keep their wealth in form of livestock and since they were all raided our people were left with empty hands. Whether these looters were Kjongs or not, NRM government takes the blames, because it happened in their regime, and it is the mandate of the government through a national army to defend its citizens. Acholi were ordered to leave their home...

THE WEST AFRICAN COUPS SHOULD NOT LET UGANDANS GET EXCITED

Image
On 30th August 2023 the news of Gabon coup started pouring on different medias. The Gabonese Army led by Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema took to the National Television announcing to Gabonese and international community that they have ousted President Ali Bongo, because of what they call electoral irregularities and unfairness. This brought Bongo's reign in the West African state to an end. Ali Bongo served as president of Gabon for 15 years succeeding his father Omar Bongo who had served for 41 years. Gabon incident came in a time when West Africa only within three years suffered at least 8 coups among others Niger's. The West African coups are running extremely fast like bush fire moving from one state to another with a number of grievances as woods fueling them. Most of these states in West Africa are semi independent since most of these countries are supposed to have their Reserve banks in Paris, France. The western world, France in particular can support a certain president a...
